Welcome In!
I started Animal Whisperer ATL after years of working hands-on with animals in shelters and studying animal science — and realizing how often both pets and people were misunderstood. Behind every “bad behavior,” I saw stress, fear, and confusion on both sides of the leash.
That’s why I built this practice around empathy and evidence. Every consultation blends science-based methods with trauma-informed care, meeting families where they are with understanding, not judgment.
Whether you’re dealing with reactivity, anxiety, or just everyday frustration, my goal is to help you rebuild confidence, connection, and calm — together.

The Science Behind the Success
Every behavior has a cause, and every cause can be understood. At Animal Whisperer ATL, we rely on behavioral science, not guesswork or outdated dominance theory, to create real, lasting change.
Our methods are grounded in modern learning theory and humane practice: positive reinforcement, desensitization, and counterconditioning. These have all been proven to reshape behavior through trust, not fear. By identifying triggers, reducing stress, and rewarding calm, we help pets learn new responses that actually stick.
This approach aligns with the principles endorsed by organizations such as the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior (AVSAB) and the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC). It’s not about “fixing” an animal. It’s about teaching communication, rebuilding confidence, and setting both pet and parent up for long-term success.
About AJ

Animals have always been part of my story — not something I found, but something I lived. By the time I reached my last year of high school, I knew I wanted to specialize in animal behavior so I could give back to the same animals who helped me through my hardest moments.
That purpose led me into the rescue world, where I saw firsthand how trauma, both human and animal, shapes behavior. Over the years, I’ve also worked in dog boarding centers, veterinary clinics, and other care settings, gaining a broad understanding of how animals think, communicate, and adapt in every environment.
Today, I bring that perspective to every client I work with. My background spans shelter work, animal science, and behavior consulting, allowing me to bridge the gap between research and real life and helping people and pets build trust, one step at a time.
